I know you're out there doing trade shows, sponsoring a golf tournament or doing art and wine festivals. You have a list of people that you're trying to convert from being leads into clients. How are you doing with that? Today we're going to talk about this part of the Magnetic Marketing Road Map.As an example, let's pretend you met a lead named, Sue at a networking event. You connected with her, used nonverbal communication, and you did everything that you were supposed to do. You have figured out she is a great lead by researching her. Then you continued moving the relationship forward by having coffee with her.Remember, this is like dating, you're courting Sue, you're showing her that you're the one to pick. Within one to two weeks of having coffee with her, it's time to send her a welcome kit. Make it fun, engaging, something that's eye catching. Inside that welcome kit include your:

  • Company brochure, a rack card, company literature or catalog.
  • Have a Call-To-Action to go to your website or YouTube channel to get her to know you and your business better.
  • Use scarcity to place an order. Whether it’s a time limit or limited quantity.
  • Include a personalized note. It can be as simple as putting a little note on a post-it and sticking it in the welcome kit. Or you can do a hand written card or a notepad. If you do a branded notepad then put it in the kit and then on the top sheet write a message.
  • Personalize the welcome kit, create a package based on Sue's wants and needs.
  • Add a branded gift. Something that's fun and memorable. Choose an item that's in line with your business, with your products, with your services.

A branded item that's in line with Sue's business is great too.If you know that Sue and most of your ideal clients are in the construction business then pick an item that goes with the construction industry. If your clients are more diverse do something that's broader like drinkware, a tech item or t-shirts. Add a fun saying, something that adds to the experience and makes them laugh or makes them smile. It’s time you get a little salesy. Not pushy though, nobody likes that. Just show her what you have to offer. Show her she definitely needs it. Make sure you're coming from the heart, you're caring for her and her business.Sending a welcome kit will help you stand out from the crowd and build your relationship with hot leads at a deeper level. If you found this useful please share this out with somebody who needs to hear it. I love giving you these tips every week and I want to make sure that you are building your business relationships at a deeper level and doing marketing that's not boring.
